Shifting Crossroads | Beirut Contemporary
Group Exhibition at CIRCOLO (Milan)
Rather than offering a reductive portrait of Beirut, this exhibition embraces the city as a pressure point for artists working across generations. It explores complexity not as an aesthetic choice, but as a political condition - one defined by unstable borders, fragmented histories, and the ongoing struggle between memory and erasure. Through diverse mediums including film, sculpture, and archival research, the artists function as"operators" and "poets of the fault line." They do not seek to explain the region, but rather to stay with its instability, treating rupture as a method of attention and a way to imagine futures not predicated on amnesia.
